How do I submit my mission?

After reading about us, should you decide to submit your mission for exposure, here is a basic outline of the process:

1.  Email The Echo Mission with your mission.
It can be something as simple as a church picnic you would like help with, or as grand as a world trip to serve for weeks.  Whatever the case please provide the following information~

  • Basic description of the mission
  • Church or Organization affiliation
  • Date/Time/Location
  • List of needs, including time, volunteers and money
  • Documentation that your mission/service is organized and there is a person accountable.  We will not be happy to find out that we are helping you raise money for spring break
  • Contact for the above person for initial communication, including, but not limited to, confirmation of mission and it's details, and to obtain further contact/correspondence if needed.
  • Any links that will help readers understand your mission more
  • A Paypal account link if you have one
  • A facebook/twitter/blog for the mission or the person that will be held accountable.  (If this is truly an issue, please contact me so we can discuss other options!)
  • Any photos you would like attached, in jpeg form, please.
Though this may seem like a lot, it should be very doable if your mission is true and organized.

2.  Your submission is considered
We will contact you for one or more of the following reasons:
  1. Your submission has been accepted and is being written
  2. We need more information or your contacts are not sufficient
  3. Your submission is not acceptable at this time
We will do our best to create a post out of each submission, and in the event that it will take a bit more communication or information, your compliance and understanding would be greatly appreciated.

3.  Your mission is posted!
Now, readers can read your mission description, view your pictures, and travel to your links (if any are provided).  By utilizing the comments section, readers can ask further questions and gain a better understanding of your mission.  You may reply to each comment and request that they contact you personally if needed.

By keeping The Echo Mission in blog format, readers can come and go as they please, no registration necessary, and  use the comment section to discuss and gain more information.

4.  Make connections and serve
Should a reader become interested in your mission, you may guide them through the steps necessary to donate their time or money.

For legal reasons, no actual exchange of money is conducted through The Echo Mission site.

What I have found to work best is to open a PayPal account and allow people to donate that way.  It is effortless for you, and secure for those willing to donate.  I do know plenty of people who still enjoy mailing self-addressed stamped envelopes to receive donations, and that is fine, too.  These are details that may be discussed with anyone willing to support in this way!

Overall, The Echo Mission wishes to help you gain exposure and support, but insists that all money-related transactions happen on an individual basis and independent of the site.

We look forward to helping your mission!
